Principal's Message

Here at Hite Elementary, we are working hard to be the best school anywhere. Our student success in academic achievement is found in our School of Distinction designation this year, with Hite students scoring in the top three percent of all schools in Kentucky.  We've been named a PACESETTER school in the past due to the hard work of our students, staff, and families. We are continually working to close achievement gaps while insuring continuous progress for every student.

Parent involvement makes a difference at Hite. There are over fifty tutors from Eastern High School, along with Every1Reads and PTA volunteers that work one-on-one with students. The PTA provides volunteers for events and classroom work, along with school improvements in technology, playground upgrades, and classroom materials.
The Dad's Club was formed to make a lasting impact on the students, families, and staff at Hite. Over fifty Dads are actively involved in activities ranging from math mentoring to sponsoring a family events and special projects.
At Hite we offer many programs to meet the needs, talents and interests of our students. Whether it's academic enrichment, arts, clubs or teams, we try to provide an opportunity for each student to enhance their learning experience.  We like to have fun at Hite too!

Come see why Hite is a family place, where success is the only option! And for the latest on what Hite has to offer, check out the Hite News section of our website.

Sincerely,
Principal Sheri Barnett
